RARE CAR & CLOSEOUT PRICED!! - 1968 FORD TORINO GT CONVERTIBLE - INDIANAPOLIS 500 EDITION. This is a Marti Report 1 OF 1 combination car with these options (including a factory tach) AND 35,xxx believed to be original miles. Numbers match 390 V8, C6 trans and Ford 9" rear end mostly all original car that is rust free and a true time capsule. This is a super car for us to have in inventory and was one family owned in Boise ID until last year. It was received by the owner on May 20th 1968 and lived there until recently. It was used sparingly and shows 35k original miles which we believe to be accurate based on the condition of the car but TMU. It is QUITE STOCK right down to the original "born with" mufflers and exhaust... even the original Ford starter remains in place. The engine fires up and runs very smooth just as a 390 ci V8 should! The the car was gone through with new fluids, tuned up, the engine bay has been cleaned up, detailed and updated to a factory correct look using some aftermarket decals as well. The car has mostly original paint with some updating having been done to keep the car looking very nice and as correct as possible. Body wise you would be hard pressed to find a more original example. The passenger side was repainted & new decals but no body damage is evident. Most of the rest of the car wears it's original paint. The car simply looks amazing but there are a few imperfections, dings & stone chips as would be typical of a car that is 55 years old but nicer than most for sure!! NO DISSAPOINTMENTS HERE Due to the dry Boise heat the original top and seat tops took some damage so they have been replaced with correct material... the power top works flawlessly! Otherwise the interior is pretty much as delivered and everything seems to work as it should right down to the factory AM radio!
